Physical Characteristics

High elves are the weakest of the elven races, only possessing half the strength of a human on average. Their skin ranges from cream to porcelain white in color. Their hair colors include the same spectrum as humans, but are predominantly golden blonde. They have a predominantly sky blue eye color but can also have brown, green, blue, purple, magenta, and amber eyes. High elves can be from 5 to 7 feet tall. They can live up to 800 years reaching maturity at age 20, and retain their youth and beauty until the last 20 years of their life. High elves have precise hearing and can hear much farther and quieter sounds then a human. They are also very agile and have excellent motor skills. They can resist extreme temperatures that would trouble or kill other races, especially cold temperatures. They have fragile bones, and an injury can take up to 8 times as long as it would a human. High elves are incapable of accumulating excessive body fat due to their unique physiology and metabolism but are also prone to dying from starvation a lot faster(14 days is lethal). High elves are immune to almost all diseases, only being affected by rare race specific illnesses.

Mental Characteristics

High elves are very reserved and tend to spend great amounts of time thinking before acting. They tend to withhold emotions that do not serve any precise purpose at a given moment. They do think highly of themselves, but are likely to withold arrogant comments in favor of appearing more wise. High elves are very intelligent but not to the same degree as Dark Elves. They have a natural affinity towards channeling magic and it is second nature to them. High elves are very selective with whom they form bonds with, let alone strong bonds.

Society

High elven society could be described as very orderly and magic oriented. Their lack of strength is directly addressed using magic. Mages, professors, and disciples of magic are very centric to high elven society. One could say that climbing the academic ladder in a magic school is most high elf children's primary goal. All high elves are very educated reguarding the origins and application of magic, giving the whole race a very astute appearance. Their reluctance to trust everyone and highly selective relationships prevent the society as a whole from being a threat to other races. Reguardless, they possess the most knowledge of magic and have the greatest combat strength versus inferior magic users and races that rely on non-magic based technology. High elven laws, rules, and social mannerisms are few in number, but great in weight. Breaking any law, rule, or mannerism no matter how small usually results in severe punishment far beyond what other races would subject their own to. The high elves are known for their entrenched nobility that has maintained their political positions for many millennia.

Technology

While not very advanced in non-magic related technology, the high elves are walking lexicons when it comes to magic. They have the greatest collection of magical knowledge along with the highest levels of education of any society utilizing this knowledge. High elves usually spend decades in a magic academy before graduating. They have thus become known as the most educated race in Amestria.

Interbreeding

Human + High Elves will result in a person that has less pointed ears and features between a human and an elf. They live up to 180 years and can have elven eye colors. They can cast slightly more intricate magic then humans but they cannot use as powerful spells. It is very easy for them to learn magic and they require little discipline to sense it.
