Amestria uses a system of stat modifiers to determine the physical limitations of a character.

Base Stats

Default Values
Strength Intelligence Agility Vitality
20 20 20 20
Maximum Values
Strength Intelligence Agility Vitality
42 42 42 42

Every character has 2 free points that can be allocated to any of the four base stats, keep in mind that a stat may not exceed it's maximum value.

Modifier Proficiency Levels
Horrible Very Bad Bad Average Good Great Godlike
0 - 5 6 - 11 12 - 17 18 - 23 24 - 29 30 - 35 36 - 42

Racial Modifiers

Some races have special bonuses to the four base stats, if a race isn't listed here they probably have bonuses in other areas. Likewise, races with large modifiers to the base stats likely have weaknesses or strengths not listed in this section.

Kitsune

  • +8 Agility

High Elf

  • -6 Strength
  • +2 Intelligence
  • +2 Agility
  • -8 Vitality

Forest Elf

  • -2 Strength
  • +2 Agility
  • -4 Vitality

Dark Elf

  • +8 Intelligence
  • -2 Vitality

Centaur

  • +4 Strength
  • -4 Agility
  • +4 Vitality

Fairy

This race is unique and is exempt from strength, agility, and vitality calculations.

  • +2 Intelligence

Pureblood Vampire

This race is unique and is exempt from vitality calculations.

  • +16 Strength
  • +12 Intelligence
  • +12 Agility

Noble Vampire

This race inherits the base stats of it's non-vampiric lineage, if there are several lineages the values are averaged between them. This race also receives the following stat modifiers:

  • +8 Strength
  • +6 Agility
  • +8 Vitality

Minor Vampire

This race inherits the base stats of it's non-vampiric lineage, if there are several lineages the values are averaged between them. This race also receives the following stat modifiers:

  • +4 Strength
  • +4 Vitality

Demisune

This race receives the stat modifiers from the kitsune race in addition to the stat modifiers below.

  • +6 Strength
  • +4 Agility
  • +8 Vitality

Demon Kitsune

Unlike demisune this race does not inherit stat modifiers from it's lineages.

  • +12 Strength
  • +22 Agility
  • +8 Intelligence
  • +10 Vitality

Lesser Fairies

This race inherits the base stats of it's non-aetherial lineage, if there are several non-aetherial lineages then the values are averaged between them. The modifiers below apply to all lesser fairy races unless there is a specific entry for them.

  • +2 Agility
  • +2 Vitality

Standard Mixed Races

If a character belongs to a mixed lineage, then their base stats will be averaged between all the races in their lineage. This rule applies unless there is a specific entry for the pairing in question.

Physical Range

The physical range of each race determines the limits to their muscularity and body fat.

Race Minimum Musculature Maximum Musculature Minimum Body Fat Maximum Body Fat
Human Slender Colossal Low Obese
Kitsune Slender Muscular Low Average
High Elf Slender Average Low Average
Forest Elf Slender Toned Low Average
Dark Elf Slender Athletic Low Average
Centaur Athletic Colossal Average High
Pureblood Vampire Slender Colossal Low High
Human / High Elf Slender Athletic Low Average
Human / Forest Elf Slender Muscular Low Average
Human / Dark Elf Slender Colossal Low High

Exceptions

Pureblood Vampires

The stat modifiers provided by muscularity and body fat are not applied.

Noble and Minor Vampires

The limits of these races are determined by their non-vampiric lineage, muscularity and body fat modifiers are only half value.

Demisune and Demon Kitsune

The limits of these races are the same as kitsune, muscularity and body fat modifiers are not applied.

Fairies

This race inherits the limits of the race they currently resemble, muscularity and body fat modifiers are not applied.

Musculature

The strength of a character is normally correlated with their musculature. More muscle equates to more strength, however higher levels of muscular strength come at the cost of agility.

Note

The allowed level of musculature a character can have during character review will be based on what physically oriented proficiencies they have.

Musculature Strength Modifier Agility Modifier Description
Colossal +6 Strength -4 Agility A mountain of muscle, which can be very intimidating to many people.
Muscular +4 Strength -2 Agility Well defined muscles, often contributing to a stout appearance.
Athletic +2 Strength +0 Agility Muscles are defined but limited to a chiseled look with minimal mass.
Toned +1 Strength +0 Agility Slight definition can be seen but mostly blends in with the body fat.
Average +0 Strength +0 Agility Regular levels of muscle, blending into body fat and hardly visible.
Slender -2 Strength +2 Agility Muscles have less then average mass, but are often more flexible.

Body Fat

The amount of body fat that a character has directly affects their appearance along with their performance in various activities. In general, higher levels of body fat give the individual more resistance to physical attacks but can significantly impact their agility. Likewise lower body fat can increase one's agility at the expense of being more susceptible to physical attacks.

Body Fat Vitality Modifier Agility Modifier Description
Obese +4 Vitality -6 Agility Completely overweight, muscle is not visible and mobility may be a problem.
High +2 Vitality -3 Agility Extra bulk that can appear chubby, with high muscle mass will look very solid.
Average +0 Vitality +0 Agility An average amount of fat for any race, this is the norm for most individuals.
Low -2 Vitality +2 Agility Hardly any excess fat on the body, makes the individual very thin looking.
