A method of construction that primarily involves extensive use of wood along with the use of tiled or thatched roofs. Sliding doors are used in place of walls, and certain floor sections are comprised of woven mats. Houses are usually suspended off the ground with wooden posts or beams to promote circulation, and wall sections utilized the inclusion of rice based paper. Wooden lattices are also a common practice along with carved wooden beams.(basically traditional japanese construction) Gardens and small streams are usually incorporated into the overall design of the structure also.
