The skaegs living in the region are a brutal and unforgiving people who believe in survival of the strongest. Most of the weak links in their society get killed off in early childhood, leaving only the strongest individuals. They are also prone to raiding neighboring settlements and have lately been venturing south in search of potential settlements to raid.

The region hosts very few races besides skaeggen humans, the majority of this demographic are the few vampires which have survived the harsh conditions and culture of the area.
