Concrete

Ae'Tezani Concrete, commonly known as concrete is a hard stone like building material that the dark elves use excessively. Comprised of crushed rock, a special white sand, burnt lime, and volcanic ash, this material is extremely durable and unlike normal stone does not need to be cut but rather is poured then left to harden into it's final shape. The discovery of this material has lead the dark elves to make great strides in the complexity of their architecture. The special white sand can only be found on a certain portion of the Island of Ae'Tezan and must be dried before use. The burnt lime involves baking lime rock in an oven at high temperature then rendering it into a powder to add to the mixture. Volcanic ash is readily available in large deposits on the Island of Ae'Tezan due to it's history of being formed by volcanoes. Water and crushed rock are added to the resulting mixture, then it is poured into a shape and left to harden for many days. The final product is strong and is extremely durable.
